Biography

Emerging from the beaches of southern California, migrating to the mountains of central Idaho, now living in Reno Nevada, still continuing their perpetual tour of the western U.S. Frame Of Mind is a band, whose very limits cannot be defined. Interweaving epic songwriting with improvisational exploration, catchy melodies with groove drivin rhythems, thoughtful lyrics with skilled instrumentaion. Their eclectic sound is best appreciated in their extended musical excursions that highlight the very essence of live music. Frame Of Mind is a band not to be missed.

Having toured throughout the west successfully, playing more than 200 shows a year for the past 6 years, FOM is quickly climbing the list of must see modern day traveling rock bands. FOM's music is enjoyed by a wide variey of people. Their love of traveling, meeting new people and seeing new places, along with their dedication to music are reasons why the band has been successful and able to endure the test of time.

In order to accommodate a wider range of venues and audiences FOM travels with their own sound system that can handle the output for up to a 500 person venue. FOM also has an acoustic, as well as an electric set-up. In smaller, more intimate settings the acoustic set is still a high energy performance in a more relaxed atmosphere. The electric set-up is perfect for larger venues and festivals and is in high demand.

Infusing elements from a wide variety of styles including: funk, rock, reggae, Latin, fusion, psychedelic, blues, and more, this all makes for a danceable live music experience that is widely dynamic and diverse. Our most recent catch phrase is:  Explosive Freestyle Rock & Roll

Influences:

Drawing inspiration from classic bands such as: The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Black Sabbath, Herbie Hancock, and Santana; and contemporary artists like: Phish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blues Traveler, Jane's Addiction, Sublime, Widespread Panic, Glalctic, Greyboy Allstars, and many more.
